A day of my Holiday

Friday October 19, 2007
Dear diary,
Today was a fun day. After eating breakfast, and taking a bath, my family and I will be going to ‘Dufan’(Dunia Fantasi), there we will also go with other people that we know. There, the first ride we went on was ‘Komedi Putar’. Then we ate lunch at a restourant called 'Super Bento'. After lunch, we went on ‘Burung Terbang’. When we were done with ‘Burung Terbang’, the others went on a nother ride, but I didn’t want to join them, so instead I just waited. When they had went on the ride once, we then went on a different ride, it was called ‘Ontang-anting’, and this time I joined the others again on going on the rides. After playing ‘Ontang-anting’, My sister and I got a little bit dizzy, but we were fine. Then, it was the time when we played ‘Meteor Attack’. Next, we watched a show called ‘Mosco on Ice’, which is why we came to ‘Dufan’ in the first place. When that lovely show was over, we on a ride through ‘Istana Boneka’. From there we went on ‘Alab-alab’. It was now already quite late in the after noon, so we hade dinner in a restourant called ‘ Planet Bakso’. There were three more places we went to before going home. First we went to ‘Rumah Jahil’, after that to ‘Rumah Ajaib’, and finally the last ride we went on was ‘Arung Jeram’. The final ride ‘Arung Jeram’ is my favorite ride, we were wanting to go on it four times, but we could only have time before the ride would close down to ride it three times. That night we also saw fireworks, but we don’t know why the fireworks were put on.
When we finally went home it was already night time, and when we got home, it was about half past nine.
Now, it is time for me to go to bed.

Beatrix Potter

Do you know who is Beatrix Potter? Do you think that you might meet a person like her one day? You might not know how unique she actually is. There are things that no other women at her time would dared to do, but Beatrix Potter dared to do it.

Beatrix Potter was a very independent person. When she fell in love with Mr. Warne, he asked Beatrix to marry him. Beatrix agreed, but her parents disagreed. She was brave enough to argue with her parents, especially her mother. Even if her mother said that she won’t get any of her mother’s money, Beatrix stuck with her answer to marry Mr. Warne. Sadly Mr. Warne died, and after quite a long time, Beatrix Potter was finally able to get over her feelings and continue to draw and write.

Beatrix Potter was also a very creative person. Her imagination mades her pictures her friends. Her pictures also matched her feelings. When she was in grief, her pictures had bad things happening in them. Beatrix’s imagination was very grand and not usually found in most people.

If Beatrix was not like what she was there probably would not be any of her books. By being independent, creative and having to go through everything she had experienced, that is probably why she was so famous. She was very different to other people, and really unique. It would be years before somebody might meet a person like Beatrix Potter.

Catholic History

You might be a Catholic, or you might have heard of this religion. Yet, you might not know a lot about it. One thing you should know, is that the Catholic religion is one of the groups that are in the Christian religion. By reading the next pharagraphs you could learn new things about this religion.

First of all, a question that you might be asking is, what is the Catholic religion. The answer to this question is that the Catholic religion is a religion that believes God the Father, God the Son (who is called Jesus Christ), and God the Holy Spirit, which is one God in three aspects. They also believe that their God created the world, and everthing that exist. Another believe is that their God once came down to the world in human form to save us from our sins. These believes has been in the religion since it started in between A.D 33 and 325. The meaning of Catholic it’s self is general or universal.

Something else you should know about is the symbols they have. One of them is this cross symbol, it represents the victory won by Jesus Christ through His suffering on the cross. Another symbol, the fish, in Greek is called ‘icthus’, which is a phrase that means ‘Jesus Christ Son of God, Savior’. This can be used as a sign to identify Christ and themselves. There is also the symbol of the lamb of sacrifice. It is a symbol that shows Christ’s blood that
redeemed all people. The last symbol I want to tell you about is the symbol of Trinity. It symbolises the three aspects of God.

You should also know about the origin of the this religion, which I am going to tell you about. First of all Catholicism was not started by Jesus, but it was developed by the curch that Jesus started. Catholicism started between A.D 33 and 325. It started in Rome.

Out of everything I have told you about, you should try to remember the God they believe in. Some of their symbols, and where did Catholicism come from. These information might come in handy one day.

My Believe

When I was small I did not dare to sleep alone. This is because I used to believe that there are things under my bed that I liked to change. When I change what is under my bed it could have been a lion one night, then something else another night. I beleived in this for quite some time and so I always wanted to sleep with my mother.

I also believed that babies didn’t have to be born, but could be bought at a market.

What is God?

God is our father in heaven . He own’s our world. He watches over us all the time. He can see us where ever we are, and when ever. He loves us more than anyone in the whole world. He is looking at us right now. God has the right path to take. He is the opposite of evil. He wants us to go toheaven. He is the one we can not see, but know about. He is the person we pray to every day. We praise him with songs. God watches over us , and gives what we need. He is always in heaven, and owns heaven too. He has a place in heaven for all of us. We can always count on Him if we have troubles. We know He is there when we are scared. Thinking about Him may comfort us when we are sad. God will always be there for us. Jesus’s bood take’s away our sins. Jesus is God’s son. He is God’s only son. God is bigger than anything else.

U.O.I Reflection

In this unit our topic was 'Body Works'. The 'Central Idea' was: the human body is designed for movement in work and play and can be affected by a variety of things. We had quite a lot of activities. Three of my favorite were: checking my B.M.I (Body Mass Index), having doctor Iskandar visit, and drawing my body from a picture.

I liked the B.M.I because I didn't knkow if either I was over weight, at risk, healthy or under weight. During this activity we had to be reflective because we had to reflect on how we can make our B.M.I higher if we are under weight, lower if we are over weight or at risk, and make it stay there if we are healthy. We had to be principled enough to change our ways, or keep our ways.

Ifound that doctor Iskandar's visit was also nice, because we learned a lot of things. He told us about types of fratures, the things we have to do if we get a frature, and how we can prevet the fracture from getting worse. We had to be knowlegeable, because there was a lot of things we could learn of we listen. We also had to be reflective for this because we should reflect on how we can treat a person with a fracture better next time, if we have done a mistake on treating a person who has a fracture once.

Drawing our body was also nice because we could learn how to draw people properly. During this activity we had to be open-minded about how Mrs. Jane taught us to draw. We also had to be knowlegeable to write down the names and thpes of bones and muscles and where they are.

My Long Journey

Someone is famished, she likes apples. I am very felicitous because I am an apple, and will be on a jaunt through her body. Hore! Hore! At last I can be on a jaunt the I have been waiting for. She picks me up then puts me in her mouth. Crunch! She bit me! I am biten up to many shreds. As I am biten up saliva trickle all around me, and help the teeth to chew me up. I started to fill dizzy as the tounge transfered me round, and round the mouth to get me chewed up. Finally she absorb my juicy water, then she absorb the rest of me. It took five seconds to get all chewed up. I was pushed through the throat. It took only five seconds. When I am pushed through the throat the epiglottis closes the way to the lungs. It took five seconds to pass the oesophagus. It was fun to go through the throat and oesophagus, it was like going through a slide.

Now I am in the stomach. The stomach releases gastric juice that help it to digest me. With the stomach strong contraction, I am mixed with the gastric juice and digested. To go this far, it takes tree hours. Then I pass through duodenum to get to the small intestine. As I pass, the gall bladder realeases bile. The duodenum that I passed through was thought to be the width of twelve fingers.

I am in the small intestine now. It's width is smaller than the large intestine, but it is longer than the large instestine. It tickle to pass the filli as I went through. The middle section of the small intestine is about five to eight feets. The final section is five to six meters! As I pass I am digested again with the help of enzyme from the gall bladder. In the third part, my nutrient are taken out to the blood stream. To get to this part it takes eight hours! Now I know that the real lenght of the small intestine is 6.5 meters long.

Soon I will out of the girl's body, because I am now in the large intestine. As I pass, I see the appendix. Now I'm in the cecum, the first part of the large intestine. Then I pass the colon. After that I'm in the rectum, which is fifthteen to twenty centimeters. As I pass water is taken out of me, and into the blood stream. Finally, all be pushed out through the anus after being in the body for about thirty two hours. Pheww!!!
